Consciousness

Consciousness is suffering. Consciousness is awareness of lack; lack is pain; pain is suffering. There is no such thing as a happy consciousness; it didn't evolve for that reason. It evolved so we can address our needs. Upon addressing a need, we may experience temporary happiness, but it only lasts until the next sense of lack is experienced.
